Low Carbon Farming Meets Sustainability

Sustainable, efficient, almost pesticide-free farming. 5km of pipes, x3 more glass than the Shard, 30 acres of greenhouse at Ingham, Bury St Edmunds heated by capturing waste heat from water treatment works, by way of ground source heat pumps. Dutch contractor #BOM Group said it is working “full steam ahead” within Covid-19 health regulations to have the greenhouses up and running by the end of 2020. The total power of all the heat pumps and the CHPs (combined heat and power plants) to run them combined will serve all the energy needs of this vast greenhouse.
